Foxy Fur Ethics
The quality control of Foxy & Co's fur pieces goes well beyond the finished garments. Being made from animal there's a whole additional set of rules and ethics that need to be adhered too before we are comfortable to sell. Animal Welfare, no waste production, certified farms of non-threatened species come heavily into play.

Foxy Furs are designed by the founder, Jen from her home on a cattle farm in Clevedon, New Zealand.
The designs and colours are created by Jen and sent onto her international crafts people. From there the jackets and vests are hand woven.
Where is the fur from?
The fur in sourced internationally. The rabbits have been farmed for their meat, and the fur is the by-product of this process. Farmers take pride in their stock caring for the animals nutrition, providing clean water and living conditions. A good farmer produces high quality meat and fur for the clothing industry to use.

Certified farms with no waste farming is key for profitability and efficiency, every part of the animal is used for meat, clothing, and the cosmetic industry. No waste.

Lets not forget the people in this ethical story! I'm happy to say the work being created for our furrier's is enabling them to support their families. Hey that's positive!

Fur is a wonderful sustainable resource that is biodegradable and earth friendly.
